The photo shoot with five month old Leonie is to promote a new book of Monica portraits and she does not have a wrinkle or line despite the late nights and early mornings that accompany a newborn baby. In the interview, she says some of the photographs conceal inner sadness but now she feels “in a state of grace, like a ripe pear”.

"Being photographed is a way of getting to know yourself. And I'm dying to know who I am, for better or worse," the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.

It’s a mind-teaser of a movie that raises more questions than it answers. Here is an attempt to make the movie easier to understand before you go for a second viewing.

SPOILER ALERT: This article should only be read by people who have already seen Inception. It is advised not to read ahead if you have not seen this hollywood film.

So, how many of you have been able to completely unravel the meaning and mindscape of Christopher Nolan’s Inception?

Not many, we are sure. It isn’t for nothing that his film is being described by viewers, critics, theorists and scientists alike as the biggest mind-f**k of the century.

Teaser number 1: The biggest trick that Christopher plays on the mind of the viewer hinges on the spinning of the top. As Cobb explains early in the film, you can only distinguish dream from reality on the basis of the totem’s motion. If it stops, you’re in the real world and vice-versa.

Teaser number 2: Cobb’s ring appears in dream sequences and disappears when he is kicked back into reality. In the last sequence, the top may be still spinning, but there is no ring on his finger, as he moves forward to meet his two children, James and Phillipa, who incidentally, haven’t aged at all despite a considerable time span. Hence the confusion: Was Inception dream or reality?

There are several theories on the possible interpretations of Inception. Some of the most interesting ones are:

Theory number 1: Cobb was just an ordinary passenger who dreamt up Inception on a 10-hour flight, back home. And when the plane landed, he walked off, like any other regular guy who returns home to his kids after a business trip. Crazy, but possible.

Theory number 2: Ariadne (Ellen Page), not Cobb, was the head shrink. She had been hired by Cobb’s father-in-law, Miles (Michael Caine) to cure him of his guilt complex. According to this theory, Cobb, inmate # 528491 (the number that Fischer gives as the password to his father’s safe, and the number of the hotel rooms) of a mental asylum, held himself responsible for his wife, Mal’s (Marion Cottilard) death and Miles sent his favourite student to lead the Inception and plant the idea in Cobb’s head that his dream wife is dead and he should move on. Here’s a look at some of the other prominent mind tricks you need to resolve for a better understanding of Inception:

So, who dreamt the final snow fortress dream? Was it Eames or Fischer?

While most of the explanatory infographics on the Web would like to attribute the snow fortress dream to Eames, actor Dilip Rao (who played the chemist) says it was actually Fischer who dreamt up the final sequence.
Traditional explanation is as follows: Level 1: With the van, was dreamed by Yusuf (Dileep Rao). Level 2: The hotel was dreamed by Arthur (Joseph Gordon-Levitt). Level 3: The snow fort was dreamed by Eames (Tom Hardy), Final level: Was dreamed by no one, since it’s a place of shared consciousness.

Did Cobb and Mal grow old together in reality or did Mal die young?

Seems that they actually did grow old together and Cobbs memory of their youth is a fantasy. Why? Because when Cobb tells Ariadne the final story of how they escaped limbo, the clasped hands of Mal and Cobb on the railroad tracks appear old and wrinkled, just as Cobb and Mal are when we see them walking through the city while Cobb talks about them growing old together. The youthful version could be part of the delusion Cobb constructed which was visited by Ariadne. Of course, that’s the optimists version too.

Then why did Cobb have to perform inception on Mal?

Cobb and Mal were trapped in limbo for 50 years. When Cobb realized they were living in an unreal world, he wanted to return and performed inception on Mal, telling her the world wasn’t real. They killed themselves in limbo to return to the real world. Unfortunately the inception lingered and Mal continued to believe that reality was a delusion too.

Where’s the hurtling freight train in the street coming from?

Two explanations: It could be either Fischer’s sub-conscious trying to protect itself from the extractors or Cobbs sub-conscious which unintentionally focuses on the train that kicked back Cobb and Mal into the real world from limbo.

Why couldn’t Saito be saved like Fischer who was resuscitated by a defibrillator in level 3?

Saito was shot on the first level and died on the third. He would only have reached level two if resuscitated. But this wouldn’t have helped since he was still dying there. Fischer was shot on the third level but his body on the previous levels was still fine. The defibrillator and the kicks were enough to bring him back.

Angelina Jolie seemed to have two large tucks of skin underneath her right ear, with the skin appearing sore and reddish. Experts say that the 34-year-old star may have undergone what is known as a ‘ribbon lift’, the latest surgery that has caught the fancy of Hollywood.

The 4,000 pounds procedure is thought to be behind pop superstar Madonna’s wrinkle-free skin. It involves having a small cut made near the earlobe so a thread of absorbable ribbon can be implanted. Plastic surgeon Abel Mounir told The People magazine, “It looks as though she’s received the ribbon treatment from the gathering of skin just below her earlobe.”

“But the picture makes it look as though the fixed mechanism of the ribbon has snapped, resulting in the Ushaped indent under the skin. Even if she has not had the ribbon face-lift specifically, it appears she has definitely had some minimal invasive surgery done,” Mounir said.

Jolie has always denied going under the knife. After giving birth to her 19-month-old twins with partner Brad Pitt the actress even opted for a ‘natural’ photo shoot, shunning airbrushing and make-up.

Michael Jackson, the "King of Pop" who once moonwalked above the music world, died Thursday as he prepared for a comeback bid to vanquish nightmare years of sexual scandal and financial calamity. He was 50.

Jackson died at UCLA Medical Center after being stricken at his rented home in Holmby Hills. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him at his home for nearly three-quarters of an hour, then rushed him to the hospital, where doctors continued to work on him.

His single sequined glove, tight, military-style jacket and aviator sunglasses were trademarks, as was his ever-changing, surgically altered appearance.

"For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don't have the words," said Quincy Jones, who produced "Thriller." "He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever. I've lost my little brother today, and part of my soul has gone with him."

Jackson ranked alongside Elvis Presley and the Beatles as the biggest pop sensations of all time. He united two of music's biggest names when he was briefly married to Presley's daughter, Lisa Marie, and Jackson's death immediately evoked comparisons to that of Presley himself, who died at age 42 in 1977.

As years went by, Jackson became an increasingly freakish figure — a middle-aged man-child weirdly out of touch with grown-up life. His skin became lighter, his nose narrower, and he spoke in a breathy, girlish voice. He often wore a germ mask while traveling, kept a pet chimpanzee named Bubbles as one of his closest companions, and surrounded himself with children at his Neverland ranch, a storybook playland filled with toys, rides and animals. "It seemed to me that his internal essence was at war with the norms of the world. It's as if he was trying to defy gravity," said Michael Levine, a Hollywood publicist who represented Jackson in the early 1990s. He called Jackson a "disciple of P.T. Barnum" and said the star appeared fragile at the time but was "much more cunning and shrewd about the industry than anyone knew."

Like a lot of things in the movie.

Max’s search takes him to a street tribe with Valkyrie wing tattoos and a crazed warrior priest who seems to command shadow armies of winged creatures.They could be the personal demons of drug addicts transformed into the literal in a crazed reworking of Norse mythology. It’s disappointing that Moore fails to, even on the most elementary level, tap into that metaphorical power once the more secular explanation kicks in.

Max Payneis a dumb film with a great conceptual hook from a director who visualises better than he dramatises. Moore creates a vivid fantasy noir world that moves so stylishly it can carry you through all the absurdities by sheer imagery and momentum.As long as you don’t think too much about it.

Michael Jackson has reached an out-of-court settlement with Sheikh Abulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa over a lawsuit of $7million, his spokesperson said.

The singer was earlier scheduled to appear in the Royal Courts of Justice here on Monday to give evidence in the case against the Sheikh, who claimed that Jackson owed him money for defaulting on an exclusive singing deal, The Guardian reported.

“As Mr Jackson was about to board his plane to London, he was advised by his legal team to postpone his travels, since the parties had concluded a settlement in principle,” a spokesperson of Jackson said.

It is, however, a disappointing development for Jackson's fans as the pop king's visit was one of the most eagerly awaited court appearances of the year.

The Sheikh claimed that he and Jackson entered into a “combined rights agreement” under which the singer committed himself to repay USD 7 million spent by the Sheikh out of royalties the singer earned from records produced at the Bahrain studios.

The singer said that there was no valid agreement, and the case was based on “mistake, misrepresentation and undue influence”.

He said the money paid by the sheikh — on utility bills for his Neverland ranch, accommodation and the legal costs of his criminal trial — was a gift, the paper said.

Marketing dictates the Bond identity

If reports emerging from early shows of ‘Quantum of Solace’, the new James Bond film, are to be believed, purists will have a lot to be angry about when they see the film. According to most accounts, Bond will be different. The martinis could be either shaken or stirred — Bond doesn’t care — and Daniel Craig will not say the words, “The name is Bond. James Bond.” Nor will the iconic Bond tune play until the very end. Instead, audiences will get a Bond who is hurting over the murder and betrayal of his true love, Vesper, from the last film ‘Casino Royale’. So much so he’s even actively avoiding romantic entanglements. A section of the Bond faithful suspect marketing mavens may be behind these changes to the Bond ethos, and they’re up in arms about it. But isn’t it time that Bond changed?

When Ian Fleming first wrote his novels in the fifties, the world was a different place. The Cold War was on, the Soviet Union still existed and the world was healing from the Second World War. The attitudes of people across the world were different. Bond, like much else, was a product of his times. The kind of spy he was and the enemies he faced bore a direct correlation to the political situation at that time. But now, when the Cold War is history, Bond has to change to keep the audience’s attention or he will be an anachronism.

That had already happened before the much-needed reset that the franchise got with ‘Casino Royale’. The last of the Pierce Brosnan films were campy and Bond was in danger of becoming a caricature of himself. Audiences were ready for a new kind of spy — grittier, more realistic — as the success of the Bourne movies demonstrated. And ‘Casino Royale’ did well with critics as well as at the box office. ‘Quantum of Solace’ will continue in that vein. Disgruntled fans would do well to remember that all franchises have to evolve to keep relevant — the Batman series of films, for instance, was reset with ‘Batman Begins’ a few years ago. This year’s ‘The Dark Knight’ has taken that superhero to a whole new level. Bond, a superhero without a cape, deserves the same treatment.

VIEW 2:

We don’t have the licence to kill Bond

“Ithink you’re a sexist, misogynist dinosaur”, M — the female version — told Pierce Brosnan in 1995’s ‘Goldeneye’. Possibly. But James Bond is more than that. He is a dinosaur who has been an icon for three generations, a cult figure loved despite his faults as a slice of the times that created him. It is something the franchise’s marketing gurus don’t seem to understand. In their attempt to sync the character with what the youth demographic supposedly wants, they are altering it beyond recognition.

Pierce Brosnan’s Bond movies had their faults but they struck some balance between updating the context of the character and retaining his core. With Daniel Craig’s debut in ‘Casino Royale’, the ultimate rot has set in. It started with teary eyes at his girlfriend du jour’s death and seems set to accelerate with ‘Quantum of Solace’. Gone are the trademark lines, leaving behind only an attenuated new age-ish spy. The latest Bonds bear little resemblance to Ian Fleming’s vision.
The producers who think that shoehorning the character into the mould of a Bourne is necessary to achieve box office success are mistaken. George Lucas tried it with his ‘Star Wars’ prequel trilogy, to dismal effect. Fans resented the wholesale alterations to the artistic and cinematic vision of the original trilogy. Art — and the Bond movies are art, if only of the kitsch variety — should not be altered in a way that changes its essence. Elvis Presley’s music remains hugely popular despite the simple chords. Metal, grunge, goth and a dozen other music movements later, the Beatles continue to reign supreme at the summit of pop music four decades after they disbanded.

Update the movies, by all means. There are enemies enough today to faze even the unflappable Bond and they are far more frightening than those diabolical Cold War communists. Neither should sexism run rampant in the franchise as it did in earlier films. But don’t change the character irrevocably based on market statistics. It would be a pity if Bond went the way of the dinosaurs.

Given the fame of both Guy and Madge, their split ensures a media maelstrom, but when it comes to money, the settlement may not be as noteworthy. Though the material girl made $40 million last year, the most expensive celebrity divorces have historically been the provenance of superstar men and their relatively unknown wives.
"The problem is going to be that you can't value their assets that easily," says divorce attorney Raoul Felder. As well, while the couple claims to be friendly, a long arbitration period or settlement negotiations can change the nature of the discussions, says Felder. "It's too early to tell."
Celebrity divorces are big business. Tabloids voraciously cover them. Fans hungrily follow them. Lawyers and business managers protectively orchestrate them. And they certainly are common. This year alone saw the breakups of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe, Hulk and Linda Hogan and Cynthia and Alex Rodriguez.
Many Hollywood marriages last barely long enough for the ink to dry on the marriage licenses. Singer Kid Rock and Baywatch babe Pam Anderson were wed for just four months. Actress Drew Barrymore's nuptials to comic Tom Green hit the skids after five months. Pop diva Jennifer Lopez and backup dancer Chris Judd managed to make it to only the eight-month mark before calling it quits.
Who did what to whom is far less important in a celebrity divorce than who gives what to whom. Generally, the bigger the star, the greater the payout. The list is populated exclusively by superstar men who settled with their ex-wives--a reflection of the historic dominance men have played in the entertainment industry. Though stars like Kirstie Alley and Janet Jackson have ponied up settlements to their ex-husbands, the biggest awards, by far, are paid out by men.

And the divorce between basketball great Michael Jordan and his wife Juanita, married for nearly 18 years, could be the most expensive showbiz divorce ever. Jordan earned much of his vast fortune during the course of the marriage (mostly off the court, thanks to rich endorsement deals).
And to prove that divorce hasn't soured them to marriage, several members of the list have remarried. Following his divorce from Amy Irving, Spielberg wed Indiana Jones actress Kate Capshaw. And after 10 years as a bachelor, Kevin Costner, once one of Hollywood's most ubiquitous and top-earning actors, got remarried in 2004 to Christine Baumgartner, nearly 20 years his junior.

The popular expression, ‘What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas’ conjures up a veritable jackpot of shed inhibitions, insane indulgence, and gleeful debauchery. And if you can remember any of it, you probably weren’t there.

For charismatic party guy Jack Fuller (Ashton Kutcher) and buttoned-up commodities trader Joy McNally (Cameron Diaz), a rowdy weekend coincidentally shared in Las Vegas should have, by all rights, ended up being little more than a random blur. That is, if these two vacationing characters didn’t have a signed marriage license staring them in the face to shockingly remind them of the giant misstep they took while feeling no pain, Vegasstyle. Here, the two chew the fat about their reflections about the film, and the city...

Cameron Diaz thinks the film’s title evokes quite a vivid scenario. “Vegas is a 24-hour city,” she says, “you can’t tell what time it is, you don’t know how much money you’ve spent, how much you’ve drunk, how much you’ve slept, and so on. There’s kind of a built in safety net, though —because anything is possible in Vegas, you’re given the permission to basically do anything there that you’d probably never do anyplace else at any other time in your life.” Ashton declares, “It’s really like a free pass to be your wildest, craziest, funniest self, because no one’s supposed to ever find out what you do there.” Diaz and Kutcher were both excited by the chance to bring the film’s kicky “what if” scenario to life. “I loved the script’s ‘grass is always greener’ theme,” confirms Diaz. “People in relationships often think their single friends are the lucky ones, while the singles just want to be in a relationship. In life, it’s ultimately about finding your own happiness. It’s not enough to be happy just because you’re in a relationship; first you need to be happy with yourself. That’s something I think my character Joy learns the hard way.”

“Jack and Joy are kind of flip sides of the same coin,” Kutcher asserts. “They’re both ‘relationship challenged’, even though Jack’s pretty relaxed about it all while Joy’s more uptight. Romantically, they’ve both been looking for the wrong thing, which is probably what draws them to each other to begin with — even if they are really, really hammered at the time.”

The lead casting was a bit tricky in one sense, though, since, for most of the movie, their characters have to hate each other. But apparently, as Cameron said, she couldn’t have asked for a better leading man in this case, than Ashton. “The movie was filled with so much amazing comedic talent, it brought everybody’s game up that much higher,” confirms Cameron Diaz, continuing, “It was a totally electric work environment. There was so much spontaneity...” “But that’s the cool thing about life,” offers Ashton Kutcher, “you can never predict who you’ll end up with or why. But when it happens, you have to pay attention. Like they say, there are no accidents.” Adds Cameron Diaz: “Most of the great decisions that will ever be made are the illogical ones. And sometimes those are the choices that work out the best for us.”

The gates of Michael Jackson’s Neverland were locked this week. The funfair was idle and the animals from the private zoo were long gone. The former King of Pop marked his 50th birthday recently. It seemed fitting that the estate built as his homage to a fantasy of childhood remained empty. This was meant to be Jackson’s refuge – a place where he could play with children who were the age he was when he became a professional singer at 11. His goal seemed to be to recover that lost childhood.

He was accused of two instances of child molestation at Neverland, in 1993 and 2003. He settled the first case without any admission of wrongdoing and was cleared of all charges in the second. But the ordeals wrecked havoc on his fragile psyche.

So there were no parties there this week, no stadium concerts like Madonna who turned 50, 13 days before he did.

Jackson has blamed his problems on the challenges of being a child star. His songs redefined the modern music video and forced music channels to start showing black performers. But gradually, Jackson created more tabloid headlines with his odd behaviour and plastic surgery. His two-year marriage to Lisa-Marie Presley sparked speculation. Then he married his nurse Debbie Rowe. The mother of his third child has never been identified.

His most recent public appearance saw him confined to a wheelchair on a Las Vegas shopping trip with his three children.He was wearing slippers and pyjamas, and the mask.

The most persistent rumour suggest residency concerts in Vegas. Others involve the construction of a Thriller casino and, or a Cirque du Soleil show based on his hits. But deals have fallen through because of Jackson’s weak mental state.

He appeared briefly for a performance at the World Music Awards in London in 2006 for which he was reportedly paid $400,000. But he was two-and-a-half hours late and only sang a few lines from We Are the World, before the sound was cut off and he was booed by the audience.

What was it like to shoot for this film?
It was demanding but also very nice, a lot of fun. They put my time kind of chunked together and gave me weekends off and limited my hours so I could be home with my kids. It was fun for me to get back to work. I mean, there’s a side to me that people know that is humanitarian, there’s a side to me that is a mommy, but I think like all women there is a side to me that likes to get down and dirty and have fun and jump around. I’d missed that a little and I think it’s good for me to do that every once in a while.

And that’s an important side to keep in touch with. One day your kids will look at films like Wanted and say ‘hey mom, that was impressive…’
They’ll finally think I’m cool because now I’m not really. My son will ask me to play a video game and I suck at it and he’s like ‘oh mom!’ or there will be some sports thing. His favourite game is Madden which is American football on the computer, he likes that. And both Brad and I are terrible at it. He wins all the time. We don’t even understand it properly. It’s that classic thing of a kid with a computer and we go, ‘What? How did he do that?’ And mom, for them, is the dork who can’t figure out the plugs so one day they’ll see the films and see that mom is not a total dork.

You have tattoos in this film. Was it nice to put some more on instead of having to cover them up?
Yes, it was.

Did you get any injuries while filming?

No. I had one on Tomb Raider, the first one. It was silly but it’s always the dumbest things that gets you. The big, crazy stunts are fine. I had to run and jump over a box (laughs). And the floor was wet and I ran and jumped over the box and I landed and my ankle just snapped. I had such good physical therapy that I don’t feel it now. But I tore the tendons, not completely off but I ripped the tendons and came back two days later with a cane and I think they were trying to rush me off because they were like ‘not great for crew morale, could you please put the cane away.’ But we had to stall some running scenes. I could stand and shoot and do some things. But I had to do physical therapy every morning. But that one healed really well because I had a great therapist.

Are you a bit of an adrenaline junkie?
Yeah, I think so. I’ve actually got a pilot’s licence and so does Brad. But I didn’t want to fly just because of that. I mean, I do love the idea of just being up in the air but I think it’s more of the traveller in me. I just want to go to places that are unmapped. It’s the freedom thing. I mean, from here the two of us could get in the plane and be in Italy for lunch. You know, it’s extraordinary with technology and things like that.

You said before that you ‘lacked purpose, was very unhappy and very unhealthy.’ What gave you purpose? Was it the children?
I think I had to find purpose and balance before I became a mother. I knew that. I wouldn’t have just jumped into being a mom until I knew I was alright and that I could be stable. I think it was travelling with the UN. I had started to learn a lot with work, like with the Tomb Raider films, I would go to Cambodia, I’d go round the world and I started to notice there was so much of the world I didn’t know. And then this idea of being a celebrity makes you sit down and feel like ‘what’s your contribution? Oh, I made a movie and I hope you enjoy it and it’s entertaining...’ And after a while that begins to wear on you because you feel like ‘what am I contributing?’ and ‘people keep asking me questions but I don’t feel I have anything important to talk about or anything that matters to me, I haven’t learned enough as a human being, as an individual...’

So when you travelled you began to be interested in other issues, humanitarian issues?
Yes. I started to become aware of the world and I started finding a voice with politics and humanitarian issues. I felt that there was suddenly more of a purpose to sit down and do an interview, there was more reason behind having a voice and that gave me more focus. When you’ve been raised in Los Angeles and around Hollywood and you suddenly find yourself by yourself with a backpack in a war zone where people are dying and crying because they don’t have enough food for their kids, you quickly realise what actually matters and it makes everything seem very silly and very far away. I’ve known disdain for other parts of the world and I’m happy to be in Cannes. I appreciate all of that and I think there are a lot of nice people here, there are great parents here and all of those wonderful things, but it’s very important to suddenly be smacked in the face and say ‘what are you so upset about? You are 20 something and what are you depressed about? You have your health and you know where your family is, you can get food’ and from that moment on I never lost that focus.

Of the countries you’ve visited which is the one that you love the most?
Cambodia was the first country that made a big impression on me and it’s where my first child is from. We have a millennium village there now and a TB/AIDS clinic. Did you fund that? Yes, Brad and I have done a bunch of things.

Which of the projects that you’ve funded are you the most proud of?
Well, the TB/AIDS clinic we have has been extraordinary because we’ve seen children go through a lot and get better and reverse from being very ill to looking healthy and going to school. The millennium village was a great study for us on how to approach aid work. We wanted to see how it was done and if it was going to make sense, and I think we were the first Asian millennium village and the first to deal with landmines. Five thousand people are in our village and we’re changing everything from the maternal mortality rate to their soil production, so it’s just great.

IF Bollywood can get veterans Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher to act together after 12 years, then Hollywood has Academy Award winners, Robert de Niro and Al Pacino, together 13 years after they last acted together in Michael Mann’s critically acclaimed Heat of 1995. Before that, the two legends were brought together on screen the first time for Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather II in 1974. Now you may look forward to de Niro and Pacino sharing screen space in a Jon Avnet film, Righteous Kill.

Al and Bob, as they are known in Hollywood, find themselves on the same side of the law — the right side — as they play detectives and long-time partners of the NYPD in a cop thriller. Individually, they have played cops, criminals, murderers, fathers — but never together. The writer of the film, Russell Gewirtz, said, “As the script made its way to Jon Avnet and then to de Niro, that’s when I knew we had a movie. When Pacino was on board, I knew we had an event.”

Bear busts secret Utah pot farm:
A large black bear raided a clandestine marijuana growing operation so often that it chased the grower away. “This bear is definitely lawenforcement minded,” said Garfield County sheriff Danny Perkins. “If I can find this bear I’m going to deputize him.” Deputies found food cans with bear teeth marks, claw marks and bear prints across the Garfield County camp. Perkins said the operation included 4,000 “starter” sacks of pot and 888 young plants.

Man accused of making licence plate ‘disappear’:
The Port Authority of New York says the driver of a tractor-trailer rigged the front licence plate of his vehicle so that it would “disappear” as he drove through a toll plaza, to avoid paying the $40 fee. The driver ran a cable from the license plate to the dashboard cigarette lighter inside the vehicle. Pulling on the lighter flipped the plate under the truck.

Mountain jumper survives crash:
A Norwegian BASE jumper survived a spine-chilling crash from a mile-high mountain. Video captured by a camera attached to Hans Lange’s jump suit showed him struggling to straighten out his parachute before slamming into a rock wall and crashing into a tree top. He survived with a broken leg.

Michael Moore will release his latest documentary exclusively on the internet for free he said. ‘Slacker Uprising’ documents Moore’s 62-city tour of key swing states during the 2004 US presidential election, when he tried to convince young nonvoters to give voting a shot.

Rapper Akon hits female fan during concert:
Rapper Akon has stirred a controversy by hitting a female fan during a concert in Guyana. According to thesun.co.uk, Akon lashed out after being carried by fans from the middle of the arena to the stage. When he finally reached his destination, his pants were barely on and he was greeted by a few sexy women dancing on stage. When he struggled to make his way to the platform, he swung and hit one of the women with his arm.

Church slams Katy Perry:
Pop singer Katy Perry has been slammed by a church in Ohio that even changed the lyrics of her song that talks of homosexual experiences. The church in small town Blacklick, Ohio, is upset with the song that hints at same-sex experimentation and has warned teens that they will go to hell if they indulge in homosexuality.
