Penelope Cruz controls questions

Actress Penelope Cruz dodged questions surrounding her romance with Javier Bardem after she was cornered during a recent TV interview. The Spanish star has kept quiet on the pair’s relationship since they were first snapped cuddling on a beach last summer — despite Bardem’s No Country for Old Men co-star Woody Harrelson confirming the couple’s romance earlier this year. Late night host David Letterman attempted to get the actress talking about Bardem’s similarity to the characters he plays on film, in his show. But the Volver star refused to acknowledge her romantic involvement with the actor, snapping, “That’s very hard to answer because I don’t even ask myself when I’m preparing a character. So if I don’t dare to compare myself with the character, I wouldn’t do it with somebody else.” She then quipped, “How do you like that for an answer? You can ask me about Scarlett Johansson.” But Cruz did offer some praise for Bardem before leaving the stage, saying, “He’s one of the most brilliant actors in the world.”

Penelope’s looking forward to Sandip

After making Madonna, Shakira and Beyonce dance to his tunes, Sandip Soparrkar is now looking forward to shaking a leg with Hollywood hottie Penelope Cruz. Having been roped in for the Hollywood musical Nine to be directed by Rob Marshall (of Chicago and Memoirs Of Geisha fame), Sandip will soon be seen sharing screen space with Cruz and Sophia Loren in the film that also stars Oscar-winners Nicole Kidman, Daniel Day-Lewis, Marion Cotillard and Judi Dench.

And while Sandip — who plays a dance teacher — is obviously excited to dance with Loren and Cruz, the sexy actress too is equally excited and is looking forward to dancing under the guidance of the ace choreographer. When she was informed that Sandip would be the choreographer of the film and will be playing the part of the dance teacher, Peneolpe said, “I got to know that he is teacher to both Madonna and Shakira. I am waiting to work and learn under this creative teacher.” Well seems like this hot student alongwith her equally talented teacher is ready to set the dance floor on fire. Right Sandip?
