Cheryl Cole thinks Madonna should tone it down in some ‘areas’ as she turns 50. The Girls Aloud star — who is a judge on a UK TV talent show — believes the 4 Minutes singer might need to cover up on stage now that she’s 50. Speaking at a London hotel, Cheryl told a magazine: “Madonna is an absolute legend. She is just an unbelievable inspiration to everybody, so I don’t think she should hang up her leotard just yet. May be tone it down a little in some private areas, but that’s it!” Simon Cowell, who joins Cheryl on the judging panel of The X Factor, added: “She is a star because she is a survivor. She’s got that steel in her and that is why she is such a big star.” Cheryl - who first shot to fame on a UK TV talent show — also revealed it was her Girls Aloud bandmates who “forced” her to take the judging job, replacing Sharon Osbourne on the panel. She said: “The girls were the ones that told me, or forced me, to do it actually. It was a big decision coming from the background I have come from, from a show like this, and even during the audition process I found it really difficult sometimes — even if someone was completely tone deaf I would be struggling to say ‘No’ in the beginning. So actually, I discussed it with all the girls first and they were like, ‘Are you joking? You’ve got to do it. You’ve got to do it.’ So they are all probably more excited than I am!”
