Gillian’s looking forward to her birthday

Gillian Anderson is looking forward to her 40th birthday in August. She’s not worried about hitting 40 on August 9, and insists the older she gets the less insecurities she has. She said, “I’m looking forward to it. I gave myself such a hard time earlier on in my life, in terms of physical regimes and all that kind of stuff. You’re often depressed in your 20s, but later you start to care less. It’s less of a big issue, and that makes you much more content. I don’t follow any diets and while I go through stages of doing lots of yoga, I also go through stages of doing nothing at all!” Gillian — who has a daughter with ex-husband Julian Ozanne and a son with boyfriend Mark Griffiths — also revealed she loves living in London, and prefers it to her previous home in New York. She added, “I enjoy the fact that I can pick my daughter up from school and we have 1,001 things that we can do in a day. I love being in London, and I love the British countryside too.”
