Actress Anne Hathaway, who has starred in such hits as The Devil Wears Prada, is taking a break from showbiz to focus on her personal problems. According to contactmusic.com, Hathaway split from her boyfriend, Italian entrepreneur Raffaello Follieri, just after he was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy, wire fraud and money laundering in an alleged scam allowing him to purchase unwanted US properties owned by the Catholic church. Hathaway busied herself with work to stay away from the scandal, but the feelings came back to haunt her when she was visiting her director friend Jonathan Demme in New York.
She said: "They (Demmes) all had so much going on. And I just started to cry because I thought, 'I don't have a life right now. And I haven't for some time, and I just haven't noticed'."
Therefore she will now take time out to focus on the emotional toll. She added: "In the fall, I'll start focusing again. But right now I need to be me for a little bit. I'm not an integrated person. I feel that way most of the time. I feel like I have to apologise for myself in front of most people."
