Hollywood singer Kylie Minogue fulfilled her lifelong dream by performing alongside Benny Andersson at an ABBA tribute concert recently.
The hollywood block buster Spinning Around singer was the star performer at the show in London’s Hyde Park. After singing the Swedish supergroup’s hit Super Trouper, she was joined by Benny for a rendition of When All Is Said and Done.
A clearly emotional Kylie told the audience, “This really is a dream come true for me. I’m a huge ABBA fan so to perform with Benny is a real privilege.” It was the Australian pop star’s only UK performance of the year and her appearance thrilled the 35,000-strong crowd. They were also joined on stage by former bandmate Bjorn Ulvaeus, and the pair thanked fans for their support. Bjorn said, “I’m not a nostalgic person, but tonight took me back. Life can be pretty wonderful. Thank you for giving us this unforgettable experience.” Other acts who covered ABBA tracks included Jason Donovan singing I Have A Dream, Lulu belting out Gimme Gimme Gimme and West End legend Elaine Page giving a performance of I Know Him So Well.
